A booklet has been launched to promote a festival that hopes to attract people to dozens of churches in the Lowestoft area for two weeks in September.
Church Fest has been organised by Canon Ian Bentley, head of Lothingland deanery, which comprises 25 Anglican churches.
Between September 15 and 30 Church Fest will see nearly 40 churches in Lowestoft and the surrounding area, such as Hopton, Somerleyton and Kessingland, open to visitors and organise a series of activities.
Events will include a teddy bear-themed afternoon, flower festival, concerts, a murder mystery, quiz nights and a youth night.
The glossy booklet has details of all the events and will be available in churches taking part from the end of the month.
It was launched at Lound’s St John the Baptist Church by Mr Bentley and the bishop of Norwich, the Rt Rev Graham James.
Details of the festival are also online at www.churchfest.co.uk
